TAKE STEVE TO SCHOOL

Likes to consider himself a “renaissance nerd.” He knows a little bit of anything, but never enough to be all that useful. Todd's lazy, and tries to live a relatively simple life. He likes to read, draw pictures, play frisbee, and hang out with his friends. He's a little thick, which sort of helps him cement his ever-positive attitude.

A reclusive, antisocial bookworm. Jill hates people, as many brilliant persons do, but would be deprived of the joy of destroying their self-esteem if she ever were to go into isolation. That’s why she made some friends. Now she could take her anger out on them and blame it on that saying about always hurting the ones you love. Deep down she has something of a heart, as unwilling to accept it as she might be.

The third member of the nerd trio. Extremely negative and pessimistic, and in that way the anti-Todd. His family life has been pretty screwed up since he was young, and he has tried many things to deal with forgetting it, for the moment settling on hanging out with Todd and Jill. Zeke doesn’t sleep. He works a bunch of odd jobs at strange hours of the night to afford going to school during the day. He sort of loathes Steve, jealous of his constant success despite his infinite foolishness. He respects Dave, and despite Diane’s energy and spontaneity, sees her as something of a little sister.

Styling Steve to his friends, and preferably Styling Steve to everyone else as well. A longtime prankster and hooligan, through which he developed his powers of charisma by talking his way out of any situation. He’s fine-tuned these powers and used them in what he now considers his life’s calling: the ladies. Long time friend of Dave and Todd, the bane of Zeke and Jill’s sanity, and occasional more-than-friend of Diane.

Has the metabolism of a small nuclear reactor. Something of a nymphomaniac and a diva. Diane is in a constant struggle to seduce Steve, mostly because it usually ends up being her who is coaxed into bed. Tends to be bossy and self-centered, but everyone finds her lovable to some extent.

The strong, silent type. A man of few words, many muscles, and much wisdom. Dave is Steve’s sidekick, the Silent Bob to his Jay, always by his side to help him through whatever mess he might work himself into, despite how insane the scheme might be. Smokes quite a bit of weed, but he’s trying to quit. Despite Steve’s amazing success rate, Dave is the true master of the ladies.

WASTE OF TIME

Lazy and easygoing. Somewhat sarcastic, and oftentimes brutally and untactfully honest. Lies around in his dorm room all day and plays video games, and sometimes goes to classes. Sorta stumbled into a relationship with Kate.

A type-A. Doesn't like bullshit and works hard for what she wants. Studies Computer Engineering and has a soft spot for techies. Became good friends with Mark in her freshman year, and sort of got together with him on a whim and on his pull-out couch.

Mark's roommate. Idealistic and naive. Studying Media Studies. Kate and Mark worry because he thinks too much for a college student. Owen tends to worry quite a bit, and it only makes it worse that his friends seem to be indifferent to many things he thinks are pressing concerns.

A shining example of nerd-dom. Likes anything that smells of computers, science fiction, or fantasy. Gets along with Mark because he's antisocial, can relate to Owen's neuroticism, and has overcome his paralyzing fear of women and befriended Kate.

Mark and Owen's third roommate. Doesn't take up much space, just hangs out on the second shelf of the fridge. Likes to piss off the milk. Studying business.
